it all depends on what kind and size of tank he gets. it is a great hobby, but it can be a lot more maintenance, and you are limited to only a few days vacation, before you need a tank sitter to drop by. if you go this route, i will help you out. what about the fucking skunks? am I chopped liver? |

My friend has 4 birds in a big enclosure in his downstairs living room. One is a big grey African Parrot, and the other is a yellow crested cockatoo. Then there is two smaller ones. The grey parrot is a bitch, he only will be handled by drew. The cockatoo will fly right up to your shoulder and sit there. He speaks as well! When she is hungry, she imitates drew's mom and says "Dreeewww, go feed the birds." She can do R2-D2, the cats meow, and the phone. He only has to clean the newspaper every couple days....
On the aquatic level, how about a shark??? Really cool, but mihgt cost ya about $7,000....

did anyone mention sugar gliders? i didn't really read every post through. they're pretty cool...just make sure you do extensive research on them...they tend to imprint on one person...they are nocturnal...the males have a sent gland that you would want removed, if you don't the smell isn't that bad but it also makes them go bald. those are some of the things you will need to know...you'll learn more as you do your research

I've had fish before, I am not a fan.
I've owned a dog before when I lived with my parents. I know how to care for animals, that isn't the issue. I definitely want another dog, but now is not the right time for one. Just trying to find something small. I would really like to try ferrets, but she doesn't want them. So I think I have it narrowed down to a bunny, chinchilla, or a guinea pig. I think we are going to go to the pet store and see what breeds of bunnies they have and ask some questions.
