Actually, for the genre fans, it was really good in the first season. The second season was run during the writers strike, which really showed, and the producers even apologized for how bad it was. They realized that they should have gone on hiatus, rather than trying to continue, but didn't want to lose the momentum that they had built for the show. It never really recovered. Season 3 was reasonably good, but by then the audience was already gone.

And Ali Larter's body beats the snot out of Hayden Panettiere

Smallville's last season. I am going to miss Lana Lang and Lois Lane. That show ratcheted up the hotness level of TV.

Smallville is like one tree hill for guys. (No, i've never watched one tree hill, just see every single girl update her facebook about it 5 minutes after the show)
