Hope you heal quick. The longer fall from a horse is the main difference from a bike. I've been thrown my fair share of times. I'm just to stupid/stubborn to realize when someone says "she's only greenbroke, and doesn't like men" that I should probably leave her alone and pick a different one. ;

Nice man. I know better than to deal with green broke, I actually hope to learn to train soon, as in train the horses, there's so many great programs to pick from.

If you'd like to play with another man hater, you're welcome to come see my boy. Usually an angel for me, but a definitely a momma's boy. Certain men, like his old owners he wouldnt even allow to catch him at all, and he gave the poor vet a fit.

for you or most people?

Rae you're a midget... any time you fall from 4x your height you're gonna HURT!

motorcycles have speed... that's where that hurts... but as long as you don't hit anything (ie polls, cars, curbs, mail boxes, ect) you'll have some road rash (if no gear) but otherwise be ok... MOST of the time, read HIGH SIDE!)

but a horse ya got height... it's the conqueror of Superman

True. But FTR, you also get rash from falling off racing horses. I've got it from my ass up to my neck. But it wasnt bad, so it's pretty much gone already.

Ick! Glad you're healing well and hope that continues!!

I grew up riding (Saddleseat) and teaching lessons. I've fallen off and been thrown off by dozens of horses but *knock wood* was never injured. We didn't wear helmets 'back in the day' either. My riding instructor however had a horse rear up and fall backwards on top of her - breaking her pelvis in two places!! *shudder* I also met a woman whose ring finger was ripped off when her ring became caught in a halter.

My one low-side on the bike I just had a bruise. Hopefully I won't ever have anything else for comparison. Once my son gets to the age where he's too busy to 'hang with mommy' I do plan on getting another horse.

I think it's cool what you are doing Chi! Horses are magic!!

Wow glad you are ok Rae!

Horses can be very dangerous if startled. A girl in my middle school died because she was out riding and some guys drove by and started honking at her. The horse reared and she fell with the horse landing on top of her. Very sad.

Be careful
