my grandma once pointed out to me that i was a one thing at a time person. i hadn't noticed before then but she was right. except a few things must be mixed. meatloaf has to be drug through the taters. cream corn has to be put on top of mashed taters. other than that it's all separate.

oh chewing. i knew a guy who not only chewed mouth open but insisted on talking while stuffing and chewing and stuffing more. it was enough to make you lose your lunch.

This is why I don't frequent sit-down Mexican restaurants very often.......They put everything on top of that nasty puddle of beans. Fuck you, I'll have my beans separate thank you very much, and preferably while they are still beans and not that runny diahrrea nonsense.

I'm not a freak about it though, restaurants where there are several things at once don't bother me.

It really depends on the food (and how hungry I am) but, say, side dishes that have a lot of liquid, I really don't like contaminating my other food. Making other things soggy or what have you.
I never went so far as to get the little divided plates or anything, but I will often push any offending foods to their respective corners.

...what?
That'd get in the way of the gravy
Corn has it's own place on the plate.

I dont see the big deal. We all blow it out of our assholes in the end. When life gives you lemons, eat them and convert them to shit.

Honestly, I think some of you people would be happier in prison.
