get her some busa bodywork and put it on a 125 dirtbike, like they did in that great movie "torque"

I just want her to wear gear. She's a terrible driver; very easily distracted. I have a hard time visualizing her on a bike, and in control.

First I would say is contrary to popular belief a Busa is easy enough to ride, Its long throw throttle (1/4 vs 1/5 turn) combined with a torqy engine make it very well mannered at low revs. (think 750 twin)The down sides for most new riders is weight. They are heavy at the stop. If she gets the Busa there are countless comfort and appereance mods available. (never mind all the performance stuff)
If she goes Monster she will be thrilled this is a far more practical machine just a bit more expensive to maintain.
Either way I like your mom's tastes and if I were married I would at least like to buy her a coffee

Crap I was thinking about the Demsosedici (Which if you can convince her of that hte better).

If you really love your mom you'll find a huge gigantic open parking lot and tell her to ride your ZX10 around. Maybe it will scare her to something smaller or she'll wreck it and not want a bike period. Or it could work in reverse.

It will suck about your bike but atleast you can keep your mom alive.
