well good luck... as for the first bike... the 929 as others have said... that's a 12 O'clock bar... even if it's not scratched I wouldn't trust that it's not been abused... too many other good deals out there to even bother with that bike IMO.

The R6 looks good... as for his exhaust undertail and signals make'n the 700 diffrence... remind him they are not new and not worth their new price... maybe worth 300 together to add to the price. IMO

Good luck! but be patient... I know it's a pain in the ass when you wanna ride... but it'd suck to jump a little quick into something that is just gonna bite your ass later... ya know?

definatly see if you can get a local shop guy to come look at it with ya.

I would think the longer you have on the new bike before the rally the better off you will be. You don't want to still be adjusting to it when you are at the gap. I wouldn't think so at least.

but would you rather be used to a shitty bike for the rally or not be used to a quality bike for a week... ya know?

I don't think you'll have to wait that long NtS... I'm sure lots of bikes will be going up for sale with summer starting. unfortunatly that's not the buyers season... but what can ya do

Yea, ive considered that, and i figure mid may is a good time to really start getting serious. my birthday is may 14, so maybe that will be my lucky day. but to be completely honest, i thought i was used to my F3 before i went down to the hill. boy was i wrong.

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself about going down on the F3 though... you just came out of winter... and how many months of not riding? AND... you hit gravel while avoiding road kill... could have taken any of us down... ya know?

and yeah... repsol replica huh...

Im not really worried about it. was just wrong place wrong time, and a learning experience. could have been avoided, but better a lowspeed lowside than a high speed impact. Im just glad it happened in full leathers, there were some people nice enough to stop and help, and my brand new fucking helmet didnt get smashed.

tbh, if i still had my f3, i would prolly have put about 1500 miles on it already if not more, so that wont be a problem.

I've seen a Thundercat and an F2 or F3 at a dealer over this way. Not maintained to my standards though the bikes looked decent- crusty chains on 'em. Big haul for you too- they were in Bedford, PA. Another place in Somerset has an '07 650R for $4500. Seen private sellers with an SV650 and a VMax. The 650R was in great shape with low miles and dead stock (including stock tires).
