They nailed it.

Other gestures are coming over from the iPod touch, like pinch and stretch on the newest models.

As much as I am a devout rodent pilot, the touchpad is fucking smoking.

BTW; they were nice enough to even write Win drivers for it in Bootcamp.
Nope, I wasn't aware of that. My level of support for Macs generally stops at basic network connectivity. That sounds far more like a technology that would be useful on tablets than a tiny touchpad though.

You'd be surprised. The gestures have already begun to be copied by some PC manufacturers. The Asus Netbook (running XP) that I got for my GF does two finger scroll.

Not really all that surprised, as the first place that I saw the gestures widely used outside of a touch-phone was by the Evil Empire ©. I thought that it would be pretty handy for photo editing, once I got the hang of it.

My brother and soon to be brother in law were talking about computers when we all got together last weekend. They we talking about not buying another laptop. They said that they would get a netbook next time. They don't see the need for a full computer to drag around if they are not playing games on them. And we all have more then one computer.

Okay, gotcha. Sadly I did fall prey to a fad, the Iphone, but does it count in my favor that I got it like 2 years after it came out??

Its, um, going. *sigh* Ive been so busy that I havent had much time to devote to it, but this past weekend I went out and shot about 500 pics of diesel trucks drag racing, about 1/2 were awesome! Got some killer sequenced shots that are look like they are moving when you go through them as well as some great still shots, including an alcohol rail, got it sequenced almost the entire 3 seconds it was flying by! My technique is improving at least.

Im exploring different types of shooting, mainly focusing on action so I can get better at track shots, but I constantly carry at least one camera around and I'll take a pic of anything that catches my attention (which if you remember isnt hard) . I find myself overwhelmed at all the different technical crap to keep up with tho the creative part I have no issue with.

But now my darn laptop can't do what I want, and the pics are never the same when printed as they are onscreen so my editing is sucking mostly due to crappy laptop stuff. Thus my interest in MAC for that...

(Screw the damned Mac stuff)
