well we paid their bail but not before the rape. derf had a new dent, some cracked up fairings and a few missing bolts and i had a bent toe peg on my kickstand and combustion chambers FULL of oil. interesting enough both my trip clocks had been reset. i think derf is planning to sue, he has before/after pics...i however have no such proof my bike was in excellent shape before incarceration. shes recovering in the garage now chilling on the tender. now we just gotta get ready for the court date...

Yeh, I'm gonna ask for the money for the broken parts. Both mid pannels and the gas tank are fucked. I didnt take any pictures from the left side, but I did take some picture from the right side, which is where the gas tank is knocked in.

I got a quick estimate for the cost of the gas tank and the 2 side panels from honda, $1500. Thats how much I'm going to ask for when I talk to the tow company. Ive called a few times, but their boss doesn't seem to be there ever. I don't really want to sue, and I hope we can work out a deal before it gets to that. If it has to go to court I'm going to ask for every little gasket, fastener and widget be paid for, brining the cost close to $2k

The only saving grace is that I took pictures of it on the flatbed without the damage to the gas tank and the right side. If it has to go to court then those pictures are proof that there was damage done to the right side (and in my mind) its a reasonable jump to assume that damage to one side opens the possibility of damage to the other side.

The worst part is that when I got my permanent insurance card in the mail a while back I switched it with the temp card, I must have mixed them up somehow and that is how I had the expired one. Dave got his new one in the mail today too.
