I agree with the "to each his own" as long as it is not affecting the rest of us. If you want to stunt with your buddies in shorts and a tank top in some empty parking lot...whatever...but the jackasses that pull shit on public roads in traffic give the rest of us a bad name and I think they are all dumb.

I know this is all your opinion, but I disagree. I can think of 6 different people right off the top of my head that I could introduce you to that meet each of those 6 criteria and I think even you would agree that not a single one of them would be considered a Poser.

IMO, the definition is simple: A poser is not defined by what they wear or what they ride, a poser is anyone who's in it for the IMAGE of the sport riding world more than for the LOVE of the sport riding world.

exactly... it's not what they do or say... more of the reasoning on why they do it... to me no matter how good a rider you are... shit no matter how good at anything you are... if you're doing it for attention... you're a poser.

but live is too short to worry about what or why others are doing what they're doing...

Let's see...I'm guilty of attending a bike night once in a while and guilty of owning one pair of Icon boots for commuting or short trips when there are little to no twisties involved. I have my Alpine *'s for more serious riding.

Seriously though I'm another "to each their own" but also agree that a poser is as stated...someone that bought the bike to be seen on more so than actually riding/enjoying it.
