I can see it for chris no tneeding one that is. For me my no mar set up has already paid for itself, figure the track bike get tires swapped after 4 or 5 days now, plus owning 2 streetbikes and having a few friends in similar situations who like getting free tire changes and can watch me swear and throw stuff its all worth it

My biggest issue. Its rather large and heavy (~75#). and unlike my sportbike friends here. I have 11k on my rear tire now. I fully expect to do another k or 2 on it. Not bald yet, gettin close though.

So do the math for me. I just don't think its worth it. Even if I understand what ur all saying on finding the 20% off coupon. Plus as wifey said, look at a small price to keep up relations and biz with local shop. Going today to check with small local shop tt usually does my mounting. See what prices he has on a new rear with mounting. I will normally even pay slightly more to help the local guy.

I 90% closed on not getting a changer.

I've got a pile of the 20% coupons. I'll mail you one if you want.

Don't worry about it Marko... thanks anyway!!

I need a new rear tire. That has been stated and why I was looking into it. But I found a much BETTER alternative. Thank you God for HD.

I did some homework before hand... nearly every site online doesn't carry my replacement size in the HD Dunlop D407 series. I want to stick with OE because there is no benifit to switching. From what I have read the other alternatives offer no added milage or added grip (not that I've ever had a problem, my dunlops do great in rain clear up to 90mph). They are such a slight difference in price it's not worth it.

A small shop near my house can get my HD tire for $210 instead of dealer $241.

However... I checked with the dealer on the HD Wheel & Tire Warrenty program.
3yrs = $400
4yrs= $450
5yrs= $500

Covers all labor (read: wheels on bike), only replace with HD OE tires, no worries about out dated tires, and good at ANY HD dealer (HD program). It covers any nails, blow outs, pot holes, etc. Covers both rims and tires.

You have to have 3/32 of tread for replacement. So I guess I have bad luck with nails every 6,000-8,000 miles... At $300 (wheel off the bike) per rear wheel it won't take long to get my money back. That is for sure.

The only catch, with a used bike. You have to purchase 1 new HD tire (since mine is bald that works for me) to get warrenty.

So...

The last tire I'll ever buy for my Ultra will be on this Sat.

PS: Took me a whole 20 mins to drop that wheel off the bike.
