The more you hang off, the more contact patch you have in reserve. If you need to tap into that little bit more lean angle, you just lean more. If you are already at maximum contact patch, it's too hard to hang off more mid turn.

I tend to reserve deep hang-offs to sweepers and tight hairpins where flicking back and forth isn't required.

I've seen some ugly crash result from getting too far off the bike when street riding. IMHO it's harder to react to emergency situations when you are that far off the bike. Of course,I don't try to do track days on public roads myself...

I think it would be perfect for NW Arkansas. I liked them from the beginning (with the XB9R) but they were so overpriced. Now they are just right and the 12 would feel great on these back roads and let me retire the ZX6 to track days.

As for the hanging off I have a 34 in inseam so my knee hits pretty easily with just a half cheek. Like everyone else i leaned off too much at first, then as my speed on track improved there was little time to lean off that much in between chicanes and some corners. Perhaps i just got lazy...

Just pickin' at ya!

Draggin' a knee at "hero's corner" isn't necessarily track behavior.

I only drug a couple of other places during the day. It's hard not to in North Georgia.

I ALWAYS wore the proper gear and never once did a stoppie or a wheelie.

North Georgia kicks ass! TWO? Suches? Some amazing roads up there and not a quarter as many cops as there are on the Dragon.

I know "heroes corner", that turn NEVER ends! I love coming up from Dahlonega to TWO on 19. Hauling the bikes up there in my truck I see every point on the digital compass!
