I've got you beat by one desktop and you've got me by one laptop. So do we start counting NAS boxes to break the tie?

Hah! I'm just happy & thankful I have 2 working computers!

Not meaning to hijack the thread but do any of you know how to run Vista Home Edition as Administrator? I've been told it can't be done & that's why Vista Home sucks....

The account that you create during installation is effectively the administrator. If you're talking about getting rid of that bllody painful constant prompt whenever you do any admin function, then you get rid of it by turning off "User Account Control" in the Users section of Control Panel. It might just save you from doing something stupid if it's running though, because it gives you a second shot at figuring out if you REALLY want to do something.

It blocks script execution prior to login completion, which sucks monkey balls if you're trying to force-feed drive mappings and network printers in AD.

I've had a prompt or two say I had to be in administrator mode to make changes. I can't remember what they were at the moment.

I was under the impression that the main user account WAS the administrative account..

It is. As usual, Microsoft's wording conventions aren't the best. You know, like having to go into the "START" menu in order to "SHUTDOWN".
