I'm not sure about that... the lower gravity fuels I believe fall out first as they heat the crude. However, my knowledge is limited on the refining process.

That would be state to state difference, however I don't believe so.

Well there are additives in both gas and fuel. The ULSD has a lubricity additive because the lack of sulfer which acts as a lubricant. Fuel also has a de-gelling agent so it doesn't get all gelled up at low temps. And as discussed many times, the gasolines have additives as well for milage enhancers, detergants, ect. So I would say they are equal in additives. TILL...
You take into consideration that in the winter (non RVP season) many tank farms add in butane into the gasoline. Its cheaper per gallon and basically they blend it in and make money off it.
4. the oil to fuel ratio is lower
what ratio?
So what is the primary reason?
