That was a different ramp, that was separated by a concrete island. The Gardiner Expressway, the highway that I was on, is elevated above street level and there are ramps up to it, at various points. I came up the ramp to The Gardiner Westbound, at York Street, which is where I had the first two splitters pass me. The third splitter came up the ramp at Spadina.
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=toront...h&z=18&vpsrc=6 In Ontario solid lines are relatively meaningless, unless also accompanied by a sign indicating that they are to be obeyed. They can be used to prove carelessness though, in the event of a collision, as they are considered cautionary in nature.
