1. Marry my daughter's mom and hope she's willing to move south right away, which results in me having to live with her

2. Suffer through the winters for 14 more years, then move on my own after my daughter turns 18

I love my daughter VERY much and will suffer through winters to be close to her. But living with her mom for even 1 year would result in more misery than 14 years of winters.
