Default Does your bike have to sit outside year round?

Mine never has had to, I have two garages and could even put it under my back deck which is not enclosed but would provide shelter from rain etc...

I thought of this question because there's a guy that lives about a 1 mile from me with a 09 R1 and it sits outside 24/7 uncovered, he has no garage, shed, or even a tarp/cover for it. Not that it would kill it but to me it's bike abuse lol.

Sits outside in season with a cover on it. I don't have a garage at my place nor do my parents. However, my parents live in the country so it feels slightly more "safe" there so that's where he lives.

Winter = storage.

hell yes... my garage is 150 yards away.. so unless it's pouring and I'm doing maintenance... it's never in there.

but being in MS and not having a car here... I ride every day... so no point in keeping it out of the weather as I ride it in anything and everything

the only reason I'd garage it is to help keep it safe from thieves...

Mine is either on my covered patio with the cover on or in the garage.

your reasoning is sound sir. The guy down the street does not ride his daily, he lives on a major hwy and his bike and house are maybe 15-20 yards from the road, it's a wonder no one has attempted to steal it
