Adding perforation to a jacket?

I've got a perf'd Teknic Chicane that I like but it doesn't flow as much air as I'd like (it's wearable below 90). The arms and back aren't perf'd and I'm wondering if adding perforation there would make the jacket usable year-around. I was looking at jackets like the Dainese Santa Monica and RS Taichi GMX Motion but dropping $500+ on a new jacket when I like my current one doesn't make a lot of sense. Is there somewhere in Austin that can perforate the rest of my jacket?

I don't know about 'around Austin', but I believe at one time I heard that Barnacle Bill's would do it.

After seeing the work done by Bill - I wouldn't send him anything that I expected to be back in good condition.

Just drink a bunch of Red Bull then go at it with a pairing knife.

If you had a very sharp leather punch you could do it yourself but it won't look perfect like it would from a leather shop.

See that will only put a hole in the leather and not cut out a tiny circle. That's why you need a leather punch, so you can remove material.

It was a joke and I agree that a leather punch would be the ticket.

However with the icepick leaving the material actually there you could plug the holes back up for cold weather riding.

I keed...I keed...I own a jacet with perforated leather.
