2010 Bimota DB7R Diavolo Rosso
HOLY SMOKE: mega carbon bling really ain't our thing at Visordown HQ but we all got a bit of a twitch when we clapped eyes on this beauty: the 2010 Bimota DB7R Diavolo Rosso.
Weighing in at a hefty $59,950 (£36,500) the Diavolo gets a load-bearing carbon-fibre frame, swingarm, and matching carbon-fibre fuel tank, a GPS dash from GET Electronic Systems that provides all the usual data, plus lap times. There's also a GPS-driven 2-D track map with enough storage for up to 100 of your fave racing circuits (I don't even know 100 - Ed). With a claimed 164 bhp and a dry weight of just 164 kg (361lbs) the Diavolo hits the golden 1:1 ratio of weight against horsepower. Very tasty. http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-...osso/8907.html WOW, look at that C/F goodness............as nice as ---->

Some people love any Bimota because it is a Bimota.
I'm not one of those people. This bike is definitely, fap worthy.

Sounds right. I did see this...
Optimistically rated at 164 horsepower and 164 kilograms (361 pounds) dry for a 1:1 metric power-to-weight ratio, the DB7R puts something like 138 real-deal ponies to the pavement. With 4.7 gallons of super-unleaded in its carbon-fiber fuel tank, the 'Rosso registered 414 lbs. wet on our scales-13 lighter than a proletarian DB7 and 10 less than a 1098R. Admittedly, Bologna's full-house 163-horse Testastretta Evoluzione engine is significantly more muscular, but only because Ducati won't provide Rimini with anything more potent than the standard-issue 1099cc twin. Still, give this devil his due. |
