New SV for me?
Found this bike on another forum....thinking it's a good dealhttp://forum.svrider.com/showthread.php?t=82691
Also this is what he said in response to my questions..... "i will take the pics for you and it is a clean title i have in hand, the service was done right before i got the bike in may this year but the oil will need changing and if you get it i will have it changed before it is sold to anyone. if you would like the service records i can get them from the old owner." He still hasn't said if it's been down. Good deal? Stupid job's preventing me from just leaving today to get it. |

Looks pretty good... and if it has been down, odds are the damage is not very bad... Where is Omaha in relation to you? Perhaps you and Drewpy should road trip it this weekend.

$3500 for a 17000 mile bike is high....if you can wait a couple of weeks, you'll see the selection of low-milage SV's go up and the prices drop, as students realize that they need money for school and stuff, not a payment and insurance they cannot afford.
But then, what do I know? |

Havent looked into what its worth, but she looks in great shape and if he can provide all service records, she looks to be a very well cared for bike!
Im partial to the color too, looks AWESOME!! But as usual, OTB is right on the money!! |

I'm looking at two newer SVs right now, an 05 with 5200 miles for 3200, and an 04 with 8000 for 2800; markets might be different, but the prices will really start to plunge over the next few weeks.

Looks clean, though he doesn't have any pics of the left side. First things that usually get scratched is the side of the fairing, the mirrors, and possibly the tail. All look good, so either stayed upright, or have been replaced.
Again, like OTB said, a bit high on price. |

Yea I'm not going to pay that but I'm not sure what to ask. Any of the one's i've found w/in a 12 hour drive are all over 4k even for 03's. Drewp thinks ask 3 and we'll drive the whole way.

I wouldn't go with an SV at that mileage. Miy SV threw a rod bearing at 19,335 miles. I was working on another Zuk two weeks ago and had 20k....that one threw a rod bearing also.
