Default Free bike??

I guess we'll find out in a couple hours.

One of the local radio stations is giving away a Ninja 650. I put in a ballot for myself and my gf. Well, she's in the narrowed down group of 104 people who have a chance to win it.

We're leaving to watch the ballot being drawn shortly, wish us luck. If she wins it'll be "hers". But, I'll have a new commuter.

Good luck, a buddy of mine won a HD fatbob at a charity golf tournament a couple of weeks ago. He was dumbfounded.

We didn't win! Our odds were down to one in sixty, and then some dude won it. Good for him and all, but I wouldn't mind having another bike in the stable.

It happens. I was at a Corvette event back in '03 and some dude had been trying to win a car at this event for years. He was wearing a t-shirt that said, "this year it's my turn." He won the car.

Last year I pulled $2K out of my money market to purchase my ZR1100. February I was doing my taxes and needed the purchase date to see if i had to pay capital gains tax.

Turns out the value tanked by 60%

So by removing the money to purchase the cycle in May of '08, I kept the loss to a minimum and basically the motorcycle was free
