Default SRS light

I have a 2000 accord and just saw that the light stayed on yesterday. Did little research on it so far. Some say to just ignore it and one suggested turning the key on/off like 10 times to reset it.

Anyone have any expierence with this and whats worst case as far as going to the shop/dealer to fix it.

You're air bag won't work until you get that fixed.

Bring it in to get checked.

If it is your seat belt tensioner, honda will replace it for free. It's got a lifetime warranty no matter miles or anything. He says they see a lot of this.

Well if it is the seat belt tensioner, it's a free fix, so that's good to know.

You could disconnect the negative battery terminal...wait about 10 minutes and reconnect and see if it reappears.

Trip is correct...what I posted is just another idea to make sure it's not just a dummy light...or a blip in the system due to all of the crazy electronics/sensors etc. in today's cars.

Good connection and good car to have if you don't want to have to mess with them.
