Cage Hell>Bronco as bike hauler?
Sean 02:34 PM 07-27-2010
Can you haul a streetbike (or two) in the back of a gen 5 Ford Bronco? Always had a soft spot for these:

I'm assuming your mean with the top off?

If so, I don't see why not. :-)

I've always liked those too.

Taking the top off isn't as big a fucking deal as people say.

I own a 74 K5 "full top" Blazer, and I used to take the roof off all of the time.

It takes two strong adult men to do it properly, or a simple lift, but if you take care to separate the top carefully, and not tear the gasket, and care for the gasket and mating surfaces, there's no reason not to enjoy the convertible nature of these trucks.

People are just pussies.

Its too bad the rust fairies have eaten up all the bronco's around here. I wouldn't mind one.

With top off and back seats down, yes. Hard part will be tie down points.

Friend used to haul his 4wheeler in one on occasion.

Back seats removeable on those? Seat anchors work real well for tie downs

Not sure, we just folded them down and put the front wheels on the seat backs. Never worried about tying it down either.

I'll be tying down the 675...

I was just thinking, rather than buy a new(ish) truck and taking the depreciation hit, why not buy something older, fix it up, and have something unique? Plus it's small enough to park but big enough to tow a car.

I'm thinking parking it with the back part off in a hotel parking lot the night before a trackday will just result in two stolen vehicles though. Hm.

If it can haul a murderer, it can haul a bike.
