any1 use the standard rear stand successfully? which 1? i was looking into getting a rear stand but i have no spools. and im not drilling or welding on my swingarm.

Had some 3 piece LP stands... they did the job but sucked!!

Yeah I have. Both on my bike and my buddies. I have spools too. But I've used it both ways. No slipping whatsoever.

one thing to remember:

NEVER EVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER put your bike on a rear stand in complete pitch black at 11pm at night after getting up at 3am to do a track day on a 95 degree day, getting stuck in traffic for 4 hours on the way home and being so dead tired you are going to fall over anytime soon..

bad things happen..

like bending up your rear stand and dropping your bike breaking the new mirror you just bought.. doh!

then you spend the next day sledgehammering the rear stand until it fits the bike again..

10-4 on that. When all of those planets align I will be sure to avoid the bike.
