yeah, I've got another one similar to that, I have to figure out how I'm going to mount it to the underside of the top. I'm thinking about using some of the metal I used to make the bike stand to bring it down enough for the drawers to open.

That's pretty slick. I wonder what shops normally do with them after the bike is unloaded?

I'd think they ship them back maybe to be reused? Good question...

We give ours to a local scrap metal guy that asked for them. The ATV and SideXside crates are returnables. The normal bike crates are not heavy guage metal and just strong enough to withstand normal shipping.

That is a good idea to make a bench out of one though. That top will stiffen it up considerably.... good job!

crates like this one are usually thrown out. the scrappers would come by and pick them up till I started working there, then I took them in for the extra money.

Honda is the only one that has returnable motorcycle crates and it's only the cruisers and wings that have returnables.
