Helmet Eject System

I'm curious what you mean by rip off the helmet. I'm an EMT-I and we are trained to get helmets off quickly but we do it in a very controlled way. We maintain control of c-spine but in a different manner. We do want the helmet off as quickly as possible.

I remember this from my EMT training becuase one of my instructors was looking into it and reviewing it. I forgot about it until recently and I think it would work well. I might actually get one for my helmet. Though the hard part will be trying to find a responder who would know to look for it.

I attended a class where helmet removal was taught. Is it ideal, no, but it some cases it's necessary, for example if airway blockage is suspected.

Next helmet is a schuberth. Been debating buying it from a friend or using a 10% discount I have at Revzilla.

Probably going to be my next too after looking at the reviews. I've been planning on getting a new helmet within the next few months. I think my current (and 1st helmet) has passed its prime.

I'm a medic and fairly certain most first responders don't just "rip" off a helmet. C-spine safety is stress so much it made me sick. Me practiced getting a few different helmets off but a full face motorcycle helmet is the most difficult. That helmet eject system looks nice but would only really be practical at a race event where every one has one and first responders doing the stand by already know its on there.
