FCC commissioner Michael Copps said in a statement that the court's decision was "anti-family."
There's a revolutionary effing concept called PARENTING. If you don't think something is appropriate for your kid to watch, DON'T LET THEM WATCH IT. Or, here's an even better idea, stop parking your freakin' kid in front of a TV set and letting it become a baby sitter.

It always amazes me to see people complain about crap like what's on TV. "But what if Little Johnny sees it on TV?!" They'd rather VOLUNTARILY give up bits and pieces of their First Amendment rights! WTF

Its not anti-family. Its anti lobbyist group.
The argument that certain words and images violate comuunity standards does not hold water. While in the 20th century, community standards were clearly more conservative it is a clear in todays society that our standards have changed. Religious groups claiming to "Focus n the family" represent a much smaller portion of society than they used to and it has changed from the role of advocate to a bunch of narcissistic entities who wish to enforce their own myopic view on everyone else.

There are standards that I think are unique to the US. We rather not allow certain things on broadcast media but its not aligned with what the FCC is pushing.

They are. Agreed.

And where's all the news on this story? Seems like a big deal, but I don't see much coverage. I mean, when Janet's nipple slipped we got more media coverage than the oil spill is getting...what gives?

It's on CNN.

There is a link in 'tard's post.

Also, Jon & Kate was a popular show.
