Question Lee, Jenell, ASDgirl and any other ATL peeps....

Can we get a head check please? We've been seeing some frightening reports on the flooding up your way, but of course, even as big as Atlanta is, they aren't specific as to what areas have been affected.... Just want to make sure all of you guys are safe and dry!!

Eeek, well I hope things subside so they don't end up with any further damage.

Doing fine - thanks for asking. Our county is considered part of the disaster area, but I haven't seen any severe flooding in our immediate area. I suspect most of the damage is in the Southern portion of the county. The creek down at the bottom of our property was a raging river last couple of days, but it's close to being back to normal now.

Seeing lots of people on the news that watched their entire home go under water. Pretty sad. I think the death toll is at 9 right now, with several people still missing.

We didn't have it too bad in my immediate area but just south of me in Paulding county it was really bad. Most of the county is without water because the treatment plant was under water. Cobb county and parts of Cherokee to the east of Paulding (and just north out of ATL itself) had a lot of water too.

Parts of Paulding co had nearly 16-20 inches of rain in a 12 hr period on Monday, so it was crazy.

The upside is the entire state is no longer in a draught condition after a few years of that!! Hopefully some of this will go to south Texas and California, they need some rain now, hopefully spread out a little better!

Thanks for asking Nee!

Luckily at my place if water reaches my house then I'm immediately going to the highest church in elevation because Jesus is back and he is pissed. Plus I'm staying busy at work thanks to downed telephone poles everywhere.

I'm not sure how bad Atlanta (ITP) was hit. My gf lives there and I don't think anything flooded that bad. Which is bad because a strong sprinkle will back up our POS sewer system.

I'm just waiting for FEMA to set me up with a pimp ass hotel for the next 4 years.

We're high and dry in my part of NE Atlanta. Road closures were a pain, but where there's a will, there's a way around it. Anybody wanna go to Six Flags this weekend? ;-)
