Default Moto Guzzi Griso 1100

Anybody here have or had one? Looking for any opinions on the bike from someone who's actually ridden one. Thanks.

I did a test ride on a pretty red one late December 2008 at the Long Beach Motorcycle Show. It's long and ponderous at slow speed and unstable at high speed & cornering. The front end is not very planted with seriously vague feel, and I don't think that you can do much adjustments with the forks. Decent engine with a good amount of torque and horsepower mix. Very cool looking. If going slow is your thang and you don't want a cruiser, then the Griso would be a good alternative. You can lumber effortlessly all day long with that torquey engine at legal or slightly below legal speed.

So, in your opinion, 80mph runs through the mountains on this bike are out of the question?

I haven't ridden one nor have I seen one in person nor do I know of anyone who has ridden one nor I have I read any in depth articles on the bike but my opinion based on the picture presented in this thread is that you would not enjoy riding it because the engine thingee vibrates too much and causes hemmorids.

I will disagree with this, in that it appears to have the very high possibility of transforming into a super cool potentially earth saving robot.

You would enjoy it tremendously....

I like the idea of this...but only if it's an earth saving robot. The last thing we need running around is an earth destroying robot. What a mess that would be.

So it's an Italian V-max?
