I've always enjoyed that stretch of road more than Deal's Gap, mostly because the traffic was sparse. There goes that...
If they're going to start advertising it though, they need to spend some serious resources upgrading the road. As much as I enjoy riding it, its lack of a paved shoulder results in gravel in MANY of the turns, especially downhill rights. |

We moved the annual rally for the TLR site from DG to Marion in 2003 for this very reason. Then it got to where they'd repave with tar and gravel, then paint like 6 months later.

It's a great ride but, there are sections you have to stay wide in right-handers or you'll hit your helmet on the rock-cliffs! They have a rally there every year now. I can't think of the name of the place that puts it on though. I've got it in my favorites at home.
