Default Christmas Gifts?

Do you have a lot to buy this year?

I don't really have a lot of people to buy for but this year I'm doing something different. Everyone I have to buy for is getting something small.

Then, there's a local store that has a tree with senior citizen's names on it. You pick a name and buy them some things they need. I just figured this would be a better use of money than giving people who already have all they need....more things.

I'm only buying for my children and they get a choice, a couple of little things or one big thing each. They have just about every gaming system between their dad's house and mine, they have bikes and ripsticks and all of that and I just got them a new computer a few months ago and their dad is getting my older one a laptop for Christmas so I'm not sure yet what they want. I'm actually thinking about just taking them on a trip or something. Still don't know.

That sucks, Kel.

I'm barely able to get my kids a couple of things. If the bitch from the place I just moved from would give me my damn deposit back soon, I'd have a little something to get the kids some Christmas with.

I'm making every present this year. Luckily though I don't have any kids to buy for.

Just spent my entire paycheck PLUS to send the kids to their sperm-donor's house for Christmas...not that he paid his child support current, but SOMEONE has to be the better person...he's WAY behind on payments...I could buy them a LOT with what he owes, including the plane tickets.

While they're gone, I'm hitting the after-Christmas sales and maybe shopping online for their gifts...the ONLY bonus of them being out of town that week. I don't get my first full paycheck until the 26th of December from the new job, and I have to catch up from these flights on the partial one I get two weeks before. My oldest needs a new MP3 player, and WOOT has had them dirt cheap lately. I'm not really sure what to get my youngest, I'll probably get him one too and put cartoons on it or something. They both always get multiple gifts, one big and the rest smaller. No point in planning till after I get some moolah...

My list is short and sweet, just like every year. Mom and Dad get gifts. Everyone else is a pass. It's a mutal agreement between my friends and I that none of us shop for any other unless there's some small shit thing that is deemed a must buy, like a goofy ass tshirt or some $10 trinket. Otherwise, easy peasey.

I'm getting everyone the same thing I get them every year... The joy of my presence.
