Default Computer Help

Is there anyone on here that is good with computers? I downloaded a new virus protection program (just a trial version) and restarted my computer and everything and now all that shows up is my background picture. The task bar at the bottom and all the icons dont show up. Im hopin someone has a way to fix this. I already tried hitting F* on start up and using "last good configuration" and wanted to try a system restore but I cant even get to a screen to do one.

do ctrl alt delete. this should get u to the task manager window. click on file, then new task/ run. type in explorer and hit enter. might help...
if "explorer" doesnt work try "explorer.exe"
