Default Divers : Grand Cayman. Awesome

Just got back and must say will be a do over. Here are a couple of short U/W vids I took. One of Stingray City and one of the Kittiweck wreck. First though, Lionfish are EVERYWHERE. Kill those mofos DEAD when you see 'em. Here's one of our hauls.

Tachyon Xc. Great little cheap action camera. Eats batteries though. A set of AAA's last about an hour.

The stingray one was damn cool. WTF is with all the Lionfish? Nasty little bastards.

Those fuckers are everywhere. Went through one swimthrough that was a lionfish guantlet. They breed like illegal aliens and eat everything in site.

Awesome. Ill be there in a few weeks, but likely wont get to dive. Ill be diving in Roatan instead. So sad / frustrating about the lionfish, glad you were able to kill a bunch.

Stingrays scare me, especially after they assassinated Steve Irwin.

Otherwise that looks like fun. Did you get a chance to go in that ship at all?

Yea, my battery eating camera quit before penetration. Pretty damn technical swimthroughs. Narrow corridors. Typical Navy ship. One swimthrough had us go through the galley right below the vet hood and above the griddle. Swam over the chowline and they still have tables and seats in the mess deck. My buddy and I sat down at a table and pretended to play cards. Other divers came through and it was great watching their eyes. We left through a head that still had it's mirrors. Pretty awesome watching yourself float by.

I am told that the lionfish make for some mean vittles. There are restaurants in Florida that sell caught lionfish although at very high price. Supposedly they'd even cook'em for you if you were to bring some in but still charges a hefty price for the handling and cooking thereof.
