First Christmas Lights Test
Just testing some stuff, had some strings get damaged in the wind this weekend while I was in New Orleans and still don't have them back up, but I have the backbone of the house working. Still got a bunch of yard stuff to do. It's actually too fast for the camera to pick up all the light movement. Looks better in person. Should of turned off autofocus.

I just heard from someone that they sell kits now that can do that... Prolly not as fun as soldering all those electronics up, hurling test probes, and cursing at frightening volumes.

www.lightorama.com is the big one. The one they sell in Wal-mart and similar places don't have nearly the functionality and expandability as mine and the similar LOR kits. I have a similar system to LOR 128 channel kit that costs $2600 for a fraction of that cost.

I am not sure anymore, it wasn't the system that set me back a lot of money, it was only a few hundred with parts/boards/cases. It was all the wiring, cables, and accessories that went with it that cost a fortune. You would have to spend that money with the LOR system too. I have a 1000 ft reel of Cat5 and a 1000ft reel of zip cord. Plus all the connectors and shit that goes with it. Bought all the lights right after christmas at 75% off, saved a ton of money that way.
