Garmin 205W sucks monkey weiner and Ebbs is a douche nozzle, what GPS unit is better?

I got a 205W for christmas and terribly disappointed with it. It's routing is terrible and there is no option to reroute to an full alternative route except for minor detour changes as you go unlike a complete reroute Tom Tom's offer. The route avoidance feature lacks a interstate avoidance, how lame is that... And you have to buy 700 series plus to save routes and transfer routes from mapsource. POI is seriously lacking the ability to draw up fun routes unless you use a ton of POIs. I could make due without some of these features, but interstate avoidance is a biggy for me because it takes forever to force a no interstate route for my POIs. Does any of the budget Garmins offer interstate avoidance to ya'll knowledge? I would like to stick with garmin, but their lack of features and routing on the budget GPS' are terrible in comparison to tom tom's of the same cost that I have used. I think I am going to call Garmin up tomorrow and ask some support questions, I can't understand why highway avoidance is an option, but interstate avoidance wasn't. I plugged in a destination with highway avoidance on yesterday for a route that was 1 hour away by highways and it took the interstate to some far away place and came back on non numbered roads and it took 14 hours to get there by the garmin's estimation. That's freaking retarded...

I think I am going to return it.

Anyone have some feature packed budget GPS' that ya'll recommend?

I have a compass, a 30 year old map, and directions from a guy that start with, "Turn left at the corner where the old chicken shack used to be".

Accuracy is over rated.

My wife got one at her office xmas party and I've been using it. It really does suck, when you punch in the address and you're 100 feet away from an interstate and it directs you by taking surface streets. But it's free and it will come in handy when I'll really need it.

Me and OSP have the Mio. It costs about $100-200. It has all of the avoidance options,auto re-routing and some of the models also double as an MP3 which is nice when I am using it on the bike because you listen to music and it cuts in to give directions. On the other hand TomToms have gotten very inexpensive lately and I like their constant update options. I've been mostly happy with mine although it does take some retarded routes sometimes,of course that's easily repaired if you preview the route before you go....

Can you pre plan trips on your computer? the thing about trip's is you can transfer POI's from your computer to the unit... just not routes... GHEY.

I think my wife has the same one... it works great! All kinds of settings to adjust if you don't want anything from toll roads, dirt roads or interstates...

plus one on the 350, its helped me get to and from a few track days and avoided soem traffic. Some stuff is alittle inaccurate though but its not the worst thing in the world.

Fuck the 350, it doesn't avoid interstates and you can't program routes. fuck Garmin, piece of shit money hungry asshats with no options and bad routing.

Yeah, I am in the same boat. I got this one free, but I can return it. I want to get something around the same cost that has more features.

They can't, Garmin blows goats. Even the 700 series and numo you can't avoid interstates.
