Default Oh no he didn't!!!

People are testing my damn patience today. One punk even pulled a gun (turned out to be a bb gun) and two big ass bottles of mace on me and my brother.

Then the guy in the parking lot that beeped his horn to many times and decided to call me an asshole. I guess he didn't know the day I was having. But he did quickly learn that at that point in my day calling me asshole is about 3 feet pass the line.

So who else had a fun day?

James

I had a teeanger spin out her SUV and crash into the side of my truck on my way to work this morning.

I'm fine - or at least I don't (yet) have any issues. As with these 'soft' hits, you know more in 24-48 hours. I'm truly pissed that a pristine truck is now not so due to the bad/poor choices made by an immature driver and her parents.

Will they write off your now not so pristine truck so you can get another one or do you have to now hope that someone can do a good job with body work?

They're not getting that choice to "write off" my truck at 'book value'. Because the fault (100%) is their insured, they WILL restore my truck to pre-accident condition, replace it with an equivalent history & mileage vehicle, or buy me a new one.

So far the adjuster is cooperating. I'll know more once the estimate is done....

Fortunately, when I bought the truck, I had it 'appraised' as part of my insurance for getting 'stated value' coverage. Many fellow tradesmen have seen the truck and marveled at its condition, especially with the mileage.

If State Farm makes my life difficult, it'll ultimately cost them.

As for finding a good body shop, I'm asking around Austin to see if anyone has recent experience with any local shop.

I'll know more once the appraisal is done, and I've let enough time pass that I'm certain that I have not had any injury... Thanks!
