Any thoughts/opinions/experiences with Pontiac G8?
ANyone drove this car? Hearing anything good or bad about it? Never really paid attention to them until one caught my eye at the stoplight yesterday, I look the looks of it.

IMHO they look sharp for a 4 door. I have heard a few good comments from people that have driven them but I have not.
I would consider one if I was looking for a performance 4 door. |

Rebadged Holden Commodore from Aus. Just like the GTO, good car, good design, expensive to source parts, just wont get any respect...Personally, I like em!

If it really is a rebaged Commodore, then it looks awesome. Top Gear reviewed the best model for both the 4dr and the "Ute" car/truck thing, and looked like it was alot of fun to drive.

I'll ask some people from work if they've heard anything. I do know that the Holden cars are given more attention to the details. So in that regard they are nicer.

As did I, but I couldn't cough up what they want for the GXP.

So I asked a guy at work what he thought of it since we had one for 2 weeks. Unfortunately he didn't get to drive it, but his comments were that he didn't know of any issues. "Overall he thought it is the best bang for the money. You get a little bigger car (than the GTO) in 4 doors and nearly 400hp. What is not to like."
Not sure if it matters, but I think it has the same drive train as the new Camaro. And we make the clutch/disc set so if you'd every need it replaced, look me up! |

Awesome car, fast, put together well, and will be hard/expensive to find parts in the future. the only down side (IMHO) is that Pontiac gave it it's own Pontastic facelift, which makes it look like every other Pontiac made since 1995. Definately deserves more respect than it will ever get. And fior some reason I look at it and all I see is the Aztek, which is the only thing I think of when I see any pontiac anyways.
