Default Need a few riders to help with a good cause

I'm posting this for a guy on a local forum. Doesn't have many volunteers yet. I realize it's out of the question for a lot of folks, but there are a few PA people on here.

Need some volunteers - a few would be good - to help marshal the MS Bike tour on July 19th & 20th. The ride is a fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. It raises hundreds of thousands of dollars every year to help those effected by MS and to furhter research for a cure - this year it expected to be the biggest one ever for the Central PA National MS Society chapter.

Basically need motorcyclists to help control traffic, flag, make sure the riders are OK, call for help in case of mechanicals or accidents, etc.

The pay ain't great - a good dinner, some parting at night, a room, a good breakfast the next day and meal along the way as well as an awards banquet a few weeks after the ride (I think it's at the Casino in Lakemont this year). BUT it is for a good cause and its a good group of people operating and riding in the event.

The ride begins on the 19th at the Hollidaysburg Senior HS and goes to State College, overnights there and returns back to Hollidaysburg HS the next day. The ride covers around 150 miles total.

I used to ride (bicycle) the event every year for many, many years now that my knee is screwed up and I'm riding motorcycles this will be my second year playing marshal.

My "sister in-law" is the central PA National MS Society president and she runs a great MS Ride. There will likely be over 500 cyclists this year.

Please let me know if you have any interest in helping out.

Thanks,

Mike
