no problem at all. I was actually challenged legally on it here. Once they realized that I went to school during the day and was available to work nights, no problem at all. As far as would you I did the first time I went through school. It's all a matter of how you state something. When they ask are you available to work you don't say no because I go to school. You say hell yeah I'm available. Because you are available at night. |

I was laid off in '04 so bennies only lasted 6 months. No didn't work nights while going to school. Darn none of those places I applied to hired me.
I did work over spring break (full time) and told the UE office about it. Was no problem they dropped the bennies for that week only. They were actually very easy to work with about it. oops missed a couple, yes once I got a full time job the bennies stopped I think now the max you can draw is 12 months. |

I know a couple people that are taking the opportunity of losing their jobs to go back to college. I don't know them enough to ask the details though. If nothing else there's time to walk away with a certificate of some sort for work on the side.

In michigan you are not allowed to go to school while drawin unemployment. That is time you aren't spending looking for a new job.
That being said... with the state of unemployement in michigan you can draw for 18 months now. |
