Default Latest New Bike

Picked this up Saturday from a guy that just bought a new house and then found out they have another baby on the way. It's a '99 Superchicken with 1500 (yes, that's 15 hundred, not 15 thousand) miles on the clock. Pretty much like brand new with a spare set of stock mufflers (he punched out the baffles on the originals and it's REALLY loud, which is why he didn't ride it much...his wife hated it). The tires are like new, but as they a nine or so years old, they are as hard as my heart and very snaky in low speed turns, so they gotta go.

Don't know yet as if I'll keep this one or inspect it and put it back on the market.

Looked at the Heli bars; they are about the same price, add only half the rise and pullback, and aren't nearly as adjustable.

Haven't decided if I'll sell it yet; av book is about $4400, but I would ask a bit more for the low milage and spares and get it during spring fever time.

I don't know, it would make a great daily rider for iffy weather days. I am sooo partial to the v-twins. We'll see.

If I keep it, it'll def need bar risers; the clipons are at an extreme down angle and turn your wrists out, putting a lot of pressure on 'em. My hands started getting tingly after 20 mins or so.

This would be my first choice.
