Default Tax Time

Not really sure how everyone did on their taxes but I just finished efiling and I'm happy. Used turbo tax again this year and it literally got me back almost everything I put in

And if you are a cheap jew like me, I went through the bank of america website and typed turbotax into their search box and it got an extra 35% of the cost of e-filing.

Used to use Turbo Tax; now I prefer H&R Block's software. Seems to have more help for more complicated returns.

TurboTax is good, just not for me.

Once you get a house and kids and that sort of stuff it starts getting complicated. Then its best to get the acct to do it.

I agree real accountant.

I did H&R block last year and they wouldn't let me write off half my stuff for work because they didn't know anything about my industry.

Tax act isnt bad, but add in the cost of filing state and its worth it for turbo tax to import all my info from last year.

H&R did teh same thing to me a few years back, I went to them to have them do my taxes and the guy wouldnt let me write off a bunch of stuff that i had written off each year before that, it was enough stuff that it actually made a huge difference. Thats when i moved to turbo tax. Turbo tax is awesome for home owners, kids, and all that junk.

I figured you'd use tax act, since it's free. No clue if it's any good, though.

I used to use H&R block but it was costing me $260 so I decided to do it myself with turbo tax. And I'm still getting about the same return so
I heard the H&R block software is just as good though.
