Yeah, she had a big article over at BMWMOA. Ty had to get the 1200GS as a first bike.

Thankfully not another generic "We got Harley's" story.

When times get rough for me I always like to just get out and ride. My mom (who has always worried about me on 2-wheels) hates to hear that I ride when I have "stuff" on my mind. I sent her this article just so she could read this....(since she never seems to believe me when I say the same thing)
"The reason I find riding my bike so relaxing is because I can't think of anything except riding. It's like an active form of meditation. Your mind has to focus on the tasks at hand and so all your other worries and cares just fall away. When I drive a car, I am able to let my mind wander to worry about work, or even to write a song. But on my bike, safety is first, and it forces me to focus and live in the present, and so the scenery and the day and the air and curve in front of me fill all my senses – it's great. "

Nice story. I like how one guy commented and said they would show Jewell and Ty some great roads in Florida. Seems that everyone from florida on this site bitches there aren't any great roads down there.

That was a pretty good read. Glad to hear some good stuff for a change about our sport.
She makes that 650GS look huge

Completely AWESOME...
I have a recurring daydream...of getting a 1200S...camping supplies...and riding open range land here the Mid-West...on road...and off...off as much as possible. |
