Putting the "old" in Old School...
Went to the rally in Cassoday, KS yesterday and saw a guy ride in on this....a 1930'ish (33? 34?) Harley Davidson....stood and talked with him for quite awhile about the bike...where he found it...his plans for it.
Cool guy....cool old school bike. |

Yeah...he trailered it to Cassoday...and rode it from just outside of town to Main Street.
The fact it ran at all was pretty fecking impressive....the rear wheel is COMPLETELY knackered though...all out of balance and bouncing around. I guess it's not really all that different than a modern Harley in that regard. |

Haha, I take offense to that, I just bought one last week! - I even had one of my neighbors complain about how loud it is already. The kicker is he owns a fucking harley!
Pretty crazy that it runs.. I'd be scared to take that over 15mph..

I don't like it. It's too old school for me. If it were me I 'd throw everything away except for the frame and build it using modern parts.

I like it, theres a lot of potential. some new tires, a good cleanup and new paint, plus some serious fixing to make it safely ridable again, it'd be a nice bike really. but then again the ratbike look really appeals to me.

Was he a Mad Max wannabe, or a normal person?

Totally a normal person...he owns a tool/equipment rental business in Augusta, KS...he buys and fixes up bikes (whatever captures his interest at a given point in time) in the back room of his shop as a hobby/side business.
