It isn't that I want a loud bike. I kind of do, but I'd much rather it have a distinct sound different from others.

I do.... actually had the stock pipe on my bike for a long LONG time! I had ridden my roomates (at the time) '04 600RR with a Yoshi pipe, which sounded great, but you get on the highway and it was just a constant high pitch droning.... drove me insane and would literally give me a headache after awhile. With all the highway commuting and long trips I did, I definitely couldn't have that. I waited and waited until I found the one that was just right.... the Hindle! I love it... it's louder than stock and has an awesome deep note to it, but you only hear it when you're accelerating, then once to level off and cruise you really don't hear it at all. Love it!!

I like them quiet. Neighbors calling the cops is bad. Cops hearing me coming is bad. Sounding like your going 85 at 45 is worse than sounding like 45 at 85. Going for a 6 hour ride and then having to scream over dinner is just no damn good.

this is the reason I still have that huge stock can on my SV. I prefer a quieter bike, especially given that the cops are stopping almost everyone with an aftermarket exhaust (right Tommy?).

I prefer it quiet, but the Leo Vince's sound sooo good. If I could just cut their volume in half, I'd be a happy man.
