Whats in derfs garage today
A buddy of mine just bought a 2003 GSXR 750 with 8k miles for $2500, a decent price for a bike with some rash on the plastics, but otherwise mechanically sound. It did need some work though, it was lowered a few inches and it required some effort to steer, both brake levers were snapped off, and it needed its first oil change for its new owner. The PO said it had an oil change 1k miles ago but who knows what year that was? it's 7 years old with about a thousand miles per year...
The bike as it sits now, a little short huh? it bottomed out getting into my driveway I had some help getting the plastics off And after Yeh it was lowered a bit The bike off its wheels so I can raise it back to stock Stock parts (middle) vs lowered parts (outside) Bike back on its feet, pulled the tank to look at the air filter and just for shits and giggles my daughter pointed out to me what the plate meant. And finally proof my son did some work, he actually took most of the body off by himself with some direction, and me starting the body screws for him. I love that generation GSXR, and they can be found pretty cheap. Trouble is, most of them have been either squid-owned and were therefore not maintained properly and usually crashed multiple times or they have like 900 miles on them and the owners think they are some kind of "special edition showpiece" worth more than the new MSRP.

He's keeping it, its his first "big bike", previous bike was a 125 vespa scooter. He's actually down in NC taking the harly MSF basic course because he never had to shift a bike before, and he kept stalling it when he tried to move

I dont even have a set of T handle allen keys, my FIL left me a few dozen L shaped ones when he passed, they work fine for me
