Default Question for you parents.

How are ya'll with male/female genitals towards your kids? Are you the "Don't talk about it" type or the "Everyone has them dont be scared" or the "O MY FUCKING GOD SHE SAID VAGINA, MY DAUGHTER IS GONNA GROW UP TO BE A FUCKING WHORE PORN STAR!" or the "We're religious blah blah."

My brother's wife is a pharmacist so it's no big deal to them. Their boy is about 2 and he knows what his penis is and where it's at and so on. Of course he's 2 so he doesn't fully "know" his penis. I was just wondering what your thoughts are on it.

Me. I'm fine with kids knowing their body parts. I've been around kids that do and that don't. They're just kids. Of course with anything it's the parents that can turn something "normal" into something "wrong" or "bad."

The religion part gets me every time. I don't recall it ever saying, "Thy shall not know ones own body parts, because thy do then thy shall burn in hell."

I knew what was going on, with my body, my kids sort of know what is going on. My daughter is at the age that any discussion like that quickly turns into an excersize in embraressment. My son is 5 he knows he has a penis, he knows that he pees there and thats about it, and he knows that girls are different, thats about it.

Well, I agree with this from Derf. My kids know what they have and what the opposite sex has and that they are used for #1. My Daughter is 11 soon to be 12 and has had sex ed classes so she knows what is goin on. My son is 6 and knows what he needs to know at this point boys are different from girls and that they are to pee from. That's it, end of story.

The big thing to understand is the right time to tell them what is goin on and what they are for. My wife, not having ever had the "Boner" experience was a little put off when she woke my son up one morning and he had the morning wood goin on. I told her, that there was no arrousal that he had no idea what its used for that its just the normal thing that happens to most men every morning. She though I was gonna have to tell him why it was doin that. I told her, no just have to let him know that that stuff happens and that its normal.

Its all about timing and understanding the meaning behind the questions that some kids may ask as they reach certain ages.

Thing is like all kids, we didn't come with instruction manuals, there really is no right or wrong way to do it.

No the nurse at the hospital gave them to me, it was a small 50 page book that contained all kinds of information, everything from how to change diapers, bottle feeding, expected development, enrolling in school, it followed child development all the way up to puberty.

The nurse was a little shocked when I asked her if the book (the 2nd one I got when my son was born) came out of my wifes twat. See at this point I had recieved 2 of them, 5 years apart from 2 different hospitals, I found out later that they are both recieved very large grants by the writer of the book so that was the answer why.

Anyway yes, my kids came with instructions. I'll see if i can find the books later and take a picture

i remember in 3rd grade i got a boner in the library, and had to shove it down my tight acid wash jeans so it didnt pop up the wrong way and look ridiculous.

The prettiest girl in school and her friend saw me and gave me a look of disgust, and at that moment my shame pretty much convinces me now, given the chance, i would have known exactly what to do with my gear.

My kids are 4 and 6. They know about them and I'm fine if they ask about them. Just don't play with the shit while your standing there talking to me.

having raised two boys that sure brought back some memories. little fuggers standing there grabbing and tugging while talking like nothings going on. LOL wish i had it on video i'd show it to their girlfriends just to be cruel. LOL

my youngest was big on the everyone should get a gander at this thing philosophy. he'd jump out of the truck and run over to a bush and whipv it out. no time to go inside and pee. if no bush available it was right at the back of the truck. I'm amazed he never got a ticket in his teen years for it. LOL

as far as raising them, eh we didn't focus on the parts too much. we weren't the very open types, just didn't talk about it unless it came up (not that)
