Bikes apart. Will you ride or not?
I'm sure there are some real anal people on here that if something isn't 100% correct then no go.
I've been riding a little with my side fairings off because of all the things I've been doing to my girl. I got to thanking of how tacky she looks but of course I know why she looks the way she looks right now. So if you go down, or are working on your bike, or for what ever reason are missing fairing pieces or parts, will you ride your bike or not? |

As long as all the mechanical parts are good and on I'll ride. I don't care about plastic, thats why I ride a mostly naked bike.

No because everything on my bike is functional.
Except stickers, but since their stuck on the radiator shrouds, I guess I need them... |

I've ridden without body panels plenty of times, you dont need plastics to ride, but depending on the bike plastics do have a purpose, ram air, cooling etc...

This reminds me....when one of my buds would crash, he would just duct tape shit up and ride with bent levers and such.
I see no issue with it.

hmm, I'm trying to think of a part on the SV that I could ride legally without
If the faring were off, there'd be no lights and I'd get pulled over No windscreen maybe? I've done that.

Windscreen, tail plastics, sliders (if installed), front fender, pass seat/cowl.

So I guess the passenger seat/cowl and front fender? - yeah, I've ridden without those before

I won't. Bits and pieces may be dangling, and I don't want to have to zip-tie everything up and out of the way.
Besides, having multiple bikes helps with not having to worry about that.
