Xp SP3
So I'm trying to install ie7, and it appears I need XP sp3. Fine I install it, and my network performance tanks, 1 minute to copy 21k from another computer on the network.
I remove SP3, and it's back to full speed. Anyone else have SP3 problems? |

SP3 is intended for network professionals. You don't need it.

That maybe, but it's the only upgrade they expose for install?
And what's in it for networking? Or is it that only network professionals can make it work? I found the other upgrades, let me see if I can get all of them to install so I can get ie7. Last edited by Rsv1000R; 12-11-2008 at 01:23 PM.. |

I'm not sure, one of my close friends is an IT guy and he told me I don't need it. Oh and don't get IE7, get Firefox instead.

agreed.
SP3 is just a compilation of service packs. Nothing special.
