My Bike Is Gone!
A friend of mine who helps me do maintainence to her just came with a friend and picked her up. Since he has all the tools at his house, it was more feasible for him to pick her up and take her to his place instead of trying to lug all his shit to mine. He's going to work on her tonight and tomorrow hopefully have her finished, except for an oil change, although that may get done too, instead of this weekend. It depends upon his work and stuff.
So next time I see her, she'll have new shoes on, a new front brake reservoir (I gotta find me a kick ass sweat band now. ), and the brake bled. Woo-Hoo! Now I'm worried something will happen while she's out of my site. It's just my luck that something will happen and I won't be able to make it to the rally.

that is much better news than what I thought reading the topic. LOL
I've got one in the garage I'll be working on. it started out being a carb clean but when we talked to them when they dropped it off it's basicaly turned into a major job. carb clean, front pads, fork rebuild, tires... and anything else it needs to be road worthy. |

Jesus, I thought it got stolen, don't do that. Good that it's getting fixed, I need to take mine in before the rally.

Oops. My bad. I didn't realize how it would sound. I didn't say it was stolen.
The front brake fluid reservior had begun to dry rot a little from sitting out in the weather. It didn't help matters when I kicked it and it snapped off at the base where it bolts on. I had to get another one. Now she has a home in the corner under the carport. I need to find a cover to keep the damn pollen off of her.
