Default Hooking up a DVD player question.

So I finally figured out how to get my DVD player hooked up but there's a problem with the video quality.

I can see the picture but it's in black and white.

What am I doing wrong?

Not asking a man to come over and hook it up.

Lol.

The only thing you have to do is hook up the cables and plug it in, so Id just double check the cables (even though they are color coded usually).

Yes the cables are colour coded and I have them hooked up to the right spots.

I just don't get why it would be black and white instead of actually colour. Argh!
