i've heard of it, but never heard anybody actually doing it. good to hear.

yep, shoei is excellent. My helmet didn't come with the nose guard and book and they sent me a bunch of shit with those two items for free.

My insurance replaces the helmet. I'd rather not risk it. Even if it wasn't free, I'd still pay for a new helmet. $500 is cheap when it comes to my head.

Shoei and Arai have always done that. Sparx would have sent her a new lid for free. I'm with most everyone else though, I'm not going to risk it and besides, who wants to wear a fucked up looking helmet?
